KUALA LUMPUR (WHAT TO EAT) - WOO BIN FISH HEAD NOODLES 湖濱鱼头米

WOO BIN FISH HEAD NOODLES 湖濱鱼头米

Those who loves soup will enjoy Woo Bin Fish Head Noodles like I do.  Choose between Mee Hoon (Rice Vermicelli) or Yee Mee (Egg Noodles).  I preferred Mee Hoon as it lighter and will not soak up the soup like Yee Mee and make it somewhat soggy and had that flour taste after.  You can imagine how flavorful the broth is as this is the only dish on the menu, with the base broth of boiled from fish bones and silver fish (Ikan Bilis).  You can choose to have clear broth where I love mine with evaporated milk added, which made the soup silky white and sweeter.  I usually ordered mine with fried fish head and fish paste (Yu Wat).

Fried Fish Head and Fish Paste Bee Hoon with Evaporated Milk

The bowl of noodles is filled with tomatoes, salted vegetables and ginger.  Top it up with some chinese "Shao Xing" wine and shallots, and dip the fish head or fish paste with their sambal chilli to get that extra kick.  I am addicted.

Coffee shop is big, bright and airy. Good environment to have hot bowl of fish head noodles

Menu
Not a fan of their Fu Zhu (Deep fried bean curd sticks), but the deep fried fish cakes are sweet and tender.  Worth to try!

There are a couple of outlets of Woo Bin Fish Head Noodles, I have tried both as outlet 2 is closed on Monday.  The original stall is a little older and gets very warm as you eat, food quality are the same. Recommend to patronize outlet 2 for a more comfortable dining experience.
