There are currently 13 Kindness Hotels alone in KaoHsiung. I can see why this hotel chain is so successful and popular after my stay with them. I have specifically selected Kindness Hotel Chen Chien as it is conveniently located just across KaoHsiung Main Station. It was builded in 2014 and I always enjoyed staying at a newer hotel whenever available.
First impression was how close it was from the metro as we arrived by train and didn't have to struggle with our luggages. Bus Terminal is within 3 minutes walk. Check in was fast, staff actually bowed us good evening when we entered the lift, and in fact every single time we enter or leave the premises, made us felt like their valued guests.
Room was well kept, good size flat screen TV. I love the massage shower head in the bathroom. King size bed was comfortable and we had a good sleep throughout the stay, although hotel is situated near the highway, we don't hear the busy traffic. There are umbrellas and bicycles by the entrance for guest use. There's also a free laundry area with washing powder provided, great if you have lots of laundry after traveling the island.
What I love about this hotel other than the close proximity to metro, they provides complimentary snacks and supper on various timing, and I haven't seen such extensive breakfast spread from other hotel. There are also 24 hours gourmet coffee and tea on the ground floor for free.
Kindness Hotel Chen Chien is also 15 minutes walk to Liu He Night Market. 3 stars hotel but a 5 stars experience! We will definitely be back to Kindness hotel for our future trip!

| My room was on 7th floor and just right beside the highway, but we don't hear the traffic with the window closed. Train station visibly seen from Hotel, that's how near it is. |
