HONG KONG (WHERE TO STAY) - ROSEDALE KOWLOON HOTEL

ROSEDALE KOWLOON HOTEL

Rosedale Kowloon Hotel

My partner and I went on a 6 days 5 nights Hong Kong and Macau trip this July for my Birthday. Bearing the scotching heat Hong Kong and Macau had to offer, we walked far and long in search for the best local food and sights we could located.

We stayed at this 4 stars (2 year old) Rosedale Kowloon Hotel (previously Cosmo Hotel).  Hotel is situated 10 minutes from Olympic MTR, very clean and well maintained guest room.  Rosedale Kowloon Hotel is also situated next to Dorsett Mongkok Hotel.

Hong Kong MTR Map

I chose to take Airport Express from Airport to Tsing Yi station then change to MTR Olympic (HKD60 / 30 Mins).

Direction to Hotel

Take Exit B from Olympic MTR and walked across connecting footbridge, enter HSBC building directly ahead. Go one level down and cross the road to Pok Man Street and turn right till you see New Kowloon Plaza. Turn left and you will see Shell Station, Rosedale Kowloon Hotel is just next to it. Or, Airport Express from Airport to Kowloon (HKD90 / 22Mins), then take cab over to Rosedale Hotel.

Reception is located at Level 2

Hotel Lobby

Hong Kong SIM Card

You can get this Tourist SIM card from Hotel or from the Airport. It will come in handy if you want to stay connected. Hotel do provides complimentary high speed Internet access for guests.

Hotel has 30 levels

Hotel has a SkyZone Lounge located on the 30th floor, which provides great skyline of Hong Kong residential area especially in the evening. Nice area to have a night cap before heading to bed.

Unit #2913

We were been upgraded and being put up at the highest floor and away from lift area as requested. A really nice start to my Birthday vacation.

Corner Unit

Small Toilet

Guest room was fitted with basic toiletries like toothbrushes, shower gel, shampoo/conditioner, shaving set and even mouth wash. Basic amenities such as bath robes, bedroom slippers, water kettle, coffee/tea were available. Complimentary bottles of drinking water that were provided were replenished daily too.

Shower

Shower area was small, might be a bit uncomfortable for big build. My partner and I faced no problem utilizing it, guessed it's still OK for Asian. Bathroom has an atomized glass option should you required privacy, it will go from a clear glass panel to opaque in an instant.

Electronic View Finder

I like their electronic view-finder. More secure than the traditional view finder. You will be able to view who's outside by a push of the button.

View from our room.  I believe the higher floors get better view.

Bus Schedules

Hotel provides complimentary shuttles to various locations hourly which was helpful when I went to HK/Macau Ferry Terminal.

In conclusion, we had a really good stay at Rosedale Kowloon Hotel. Room was well kept and refresh everyday. Concierge offered to send our shopping to our room, afraid that we might not make it for the shuttle, that's service for you. They have splendid view, especially (in the evening) from it's Skyzone Lounge on the 30th level. It's open all day till late night, one could visit for a meal or a nightcap before you retired for the evening.

    1. Hi Kathryn, we took Airport Express from Airport to Tsing Yi station then change to MTR Olympic (HKD60 / 30 Mins). Then take Exit B from Olympic MTR and walked across connecting footbridge, enter HSBC building directly ahead. Go one level down and cross the road to Pok Man Street and turn right till you see New Kowloon Plaza. Turn left and you will see Shell Station, Rosedale Kowloon Hotel is just next to it, about 10 minutes walk (Budget Option)

Or, if you don't want to walk and be lugging your luggages like we did, you can just take Airport Express from Airport to and stop at Kowloon station (HKD90 / 22Mins), then take cab over to Rosedale Hotel. (Ease free Option, do note cab charge a small fee on every piece of luggage that you have, think it was 6hkd)

      Have fun in Hong Kong!
