HONG KONG (WHAT TO EAT) - TSUI WAH RESTAURANT 翠華餐廳

TSUI WAH RESTAURANT 翠華餐廳

What's a trip to Hong Kong without the local Tea houses (Cha Chaan Teng)?  Tsui Wah with it's simple yet wide range of menu, from Butter and Toast to Curries and even Singapore's Chicken Rice will satisfy one's tastebud.  Their branches expanded to Macau, China and recently an outlet in Hong Kong Airport.  For those who can't quite get enough of local favor,  you can now get your fix of Tsui Wah before you depart the country.

A must to try their Sweet Condensed Milk Tea

Milk Tea and Crispy Bun Served with Sweet Condensed Milk Tea

Nicely toasted crispy bun, coated with butter and drizzled with condensed milk. When you sunk your teeth in the toast, you will be surprised to find it crispy on the outside yet soft on the inside, the condensed milk simply satisfied my sweet tooth. You balance off the sweetness with a hot cup of strong milk tea.  A really nice snack.  Bliss.

Wantons and Fish Ball Kway Teow Soup

Wanton with Egg Noodles Soup, KaiLan with Oyster Sauce and Hot Calamansi Honey Tea

Stewed Beef and Beef Tendons

I always loved beef tendons, you can't really locate good ones locally, unfortunately.  So this dish caught my eye while we were browsing through the menu.  The stewed beef were just alright, but the beef tendons were so soft,  it disintegrates and melts in your mouth.  It had to be cooked long enough to soften and absorb the flavor of the soy.  I wished I can just order a plate of beef tendons by itself!

Swiss Sauce Chicken Wings

I don't know how they do it, these swiss chicken wings are always juicy and flavorful. It's savory yet you will be able to taste the goodness of the sweet soy sauce.  I will have this almost every trip to Tsui Wah Restaurant.

Oh yes.. I Love Tsui Wah
